Nice to meet you!

my name is Richie.
I am @thebreathguy and founder of xhale breathwork

Breathwork came into my life almost by accident. I started my professional career working as a management consultant in a big four professional services firm. Over the years my desire to travel the world grew and grew and after six years of employment I left my job to start an online business. For the next two years I traveled across five continents, training martial arts (a great passion of mine) and studying philosophy and psychology. Combining my passion for service to others and personal development, I  started working as a coach primarily helping people with anxiety and depression (something that I have personally experienced in my own life).

During this time, my father was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). I started researching ways to help my father and came across several case studies where people had been able to self heal themselves from MS using specific breathing exercises developed by a man named Wim Hof. Fascinated, I traveled to Poland to meet Wim and learn these techniques.

What I learned and witnessed in Poland completely shifted my beliefs on the potential of human beings and how they can be healed, both mentally and physically. Not only did I learn techniques to help my father, but in the process I had many breakthroughs of my own. This was the start of my obsession with breathwork. I have now personally trained under multiple modern breath masters including Wim Hof (Wim Hof Method), Judith Kravitz (Transformational Breathing) and Dan Brule (Tony Robbin’s personal breath coach).

I am now based in London where I have founded Xhale Breathwork. It is my mission to bring the power of conscious breathing to the masses and make basic breathwork as common knowledge as knowing how to tie your shoelaces.
